A Paperless Working Leadership Institute

Congratulations on being selected to participate in the 21st Century Leadership Development with Instructional Technology Certification Grant funded by the Golden Leaf Foundation in partnership with On Track Press dba Leadership Services and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

The first institute is on April 26, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center, Greensboro.
Please bring a fully charged laptop computer to each session.

Institute Goals, Objectives and Learning Outcomes

This program is a cohort-based, leadership-development initiative intended to enhance school and classroom leadership capacity in rural, low-wealth schools seeking to utilize 21st century instructional practices and technology resources to successfully prepare all students for college and career.

The content of the six leadership development sessions will aid administrators and teachers in further developing their capacities as a high-performing team and enhancing their leadership abilities for leading their own teams during school transformation;

Program content will be based on adult learning theory, experiential learning activities and individual assessments for 21st century educational leaders;

Learning outcomes:
  • to provide each learner with feedback on his/her most pressing professional development needs;
  • to assist learners in understanding their leadership roles and impact on enhanced student achievement;
  • to provide individualized and small group technical support to all learners as they lead and manage change;
  • to provide learners with opportunities to enhance individualized learning by reflecting on their past experiences, utilizing feedback through assessments for development, formulating learning strategies and tactics for improving their leadership and quality of instruction to improve student achievement;
  • to provide support to teams through the creation of an “action plan” for project implementation and sustainability of integrating 21st century skills into all classroom for all students, and
  • to assist teams in understanding and implementing the IMPACT and NCLTI framework.
